Consider my definition of truth in science and medicine: That which is true because it produces results as a therapy for the patient in improving his health, his beingness and his ability to do things. Take a look at what the current editor of the Lancet Medical Journal states about the current state of science:
“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.” – Dr. Richard Horton, the current editor-in-chief of the Lancet – considered to be one of the most well respected peer-reviewed medical journals in the world. Are you on supplemental Iodine?
If not, you should be unless you are eating a lot of seaweed or nori.
See below for a very nice review of what Iodine does and why you need it.
I recommend all of my patients take about 6 mg per day. That is safe and will provide you with enough so that your body's Iodine levels are in good range.
Have a great week.
