These Are “Fixable” Problems

This week I saw a 12-year old in follow up. She is a very high level dancer and is in a school where she dances five hours a day.

She looks very healthy but has, as the day goes on, trouble with fatigue. Her exam was unremarkable. We did a pretty complete workup because in my experience with high level athletes they are so much “mind over matter,” that where most normal humans would slow or stop, the tough competitors just keep going at a high level. What surprised me was how many major problems we found with her labs. She had deficiencies of selenium, potassium and magnesium.
Low vitamin E, CoQ 10, omega 3 fats and significant low amino acids. Two pathogenic bacteria were present in her intestine and almost absent levels of good bacteria.

These deficits are major and probably why she is not able to work at optimum capacity.

ll of these are “fixable” problems and will result in a significant improvement in her performance.

What is important about this is without knowing this, one would not know it and would not be able to handle.

Our results with patients are so good because we accurately find out what is wrong with the patient and then correct it. Nature does the rest.

If you feel you are “under-performing” and feel tired, or mentally fogged, or not at you game, we can help.

Have a great week.

My LifeWorks Success Story

“I came to LifeWorks with a diagnosis of vocal cord cancer and constant hoarseness and difficulty speaking. Within weeks of starting my treatment, I experienced improvement in my voice quality, and that has continued throughout my treatment. I have had very few negative side effects with my appetite, energy level, and ability to sleep remaining normal throughout the treatment.

I cannot say enough positive about the staff at LifeWorks. The IV nurses are efficient and so caring. Amelia makes the HOCATT experience a pleasure because of her kind attention. I have also received excellent care from Sherieka while on PEMF and MAS MAT. Sherieka has been so creative with the I-therm. Mary Pat has also been so helpful with the Keto diet and other questions. I have always felt myself in capable hands while undergoing IPT treatment with Sue Morgan. She is the best! The girls at the front desk  are always so kind and efficient as well. I would highly recommend LifeWorks to anyone and I am so glad I found this place. What a blessing!”

The Undiscovered Secret of Neural Therapy

By Jennifer Baer ARNP

Of the many treatments that are offered at LifeWorks Wellness Center, many would be considered out of the box. Being one of the few clinics in the US that offers so many modalities under one roof, I am amazed at the brilliance and effectiveness of what is offered here and how patients respond.
One treatment that is offered here is Neural therapy. Let me tell you about it. Neural therapy was discovered originally in Germany by two brothers with the last name of Huneke.

It was discovered when these two brothers, both physicians, were trying to help their sister who had severe migraines. In one migraine attack, they gave her an IV. As she was getting the IV, the horrific symptoms she was experiencing, disappeared. They then realized that it was Procaine in the IV and started experimenting with it further.

The theory is based on the idea that trauma can cause disturbances or disruptions in the electrochemical function of tissues. The different traumas include scars, nerves, or ganglions which are clusters of nerves. These block the flow of communication along the tissues.
Neural therapy’s main substance is procaine. Cells in scars have a different membrane potential or voltage, than normal cells. When a cell loses its membrane potential the pumps in the cell stop working. So, abnormal minerals and toxicities build up within the cell which then becomes incapable of functioning normally.

Procaine will revitalize the ion pumps and help to engage the membrane potential again of the cell.

One of the unique effects of Neural therapy, is a site that is being treated may actually be far away from where the tissue in the body is affected.

This is possible because of the expansive network of nerves called the Autonomic Nervous system.

A lot of our treatments ordered are based on this system. The Autonomic Nervous system is a system of electrical circuits, a total length of 12 times the circumference of the earth and connects every single one of the 40 trillion cells in your body to form the human living organism!!!

This system controls breathing, circulation, body temperature, digestion. All of the areas that we have no conscious control over.

In 1940, Ferdinand Huneke discovered the scar can produce interference. A patient had a severely frozen shoulder that was unresponsive to any offered treatment. Huneke injected the shoulder joint directly with procaine without obtaining any relief. Several days after the injection, a scar on the lower left leg of the patient started itching. The surgery that occurred in that leg, occurred before the shoulder pain. Huneke then injected the scar with Procaine and the patient could almost instantly move her shoulder painlessly.

Things that cause these so called disturbances are infections, physical traumas, including surgery, accidents, cuts, childbirth, dental surgeries, burns, etc.
At LifeWorks, one patient I saw who I treated with Neural therapy stated that as soon as it was done to his chest, he noticed an IMMEDIATE increase in well-being and was elated with the effect on his mood. Although very unusual, when I did his forearm, the scar disappeared right before my eyes.
Neural therapy is recommended as an overall treatment option to assist the body in its roads towards healing.

Neural Therapy Success

46 year-old female C.C. “I have hypertension, I’m fat and I hate Florida because I can’t sweat.”

I asked her how long she had had these symptoms and she said since she had moved to Florida, 14 years before. I asked her what had happened just before that and she told me she had had her second child. I asked what the method of delivery was and she said “C Section”.

Bingo!

We treated all her scars – chin, forehead, knee and C Section. When she got off the table after I had finished, her hair was wet with sweat and the table was drenched. She told me that was the first time she had been able to sweat in 14 years. Her autonomic nervous system had turned on, and she was no longer blocked.

The following month her blood pressure went to normal and she came off her meds. She lost 20lbs with no change in diet and over the ensuing 6 months she regained her size 3, from the size 12 she was when we first met. And she continued to perspire when she was warm.

About Dr. David Minkoff, Medical Director

Dr. David Minkoff graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1974 and was elected to the “Phi Beta Kappa” of medical schools, the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Fraternity for very high academic achievement. He then completed both a Pediatric Residency and a Fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of California at San Diego. He worked at the University of California and Children’s Hospitals in San Diego as an attending physician in infectious disease while conducting original research on Ribaviron, a broad spectrum anti-viral agent to fight disease. He also co-directed a neo-natal intensive care unit and worked in emergency medicine. In 1992, Dr. Minkoff’s wife Sue, a Registered Nurse, became interested in nutrition and health and began to go to lectures from some of the experts in the field. At the time, Dr. Minkoff was pretty fixed in his view of traditional medicine and it took a lot of convincing to get him to come to one of these lectures. After hearing Dr. Jeffrey Bland speak, Dr. Minkoff had a eureka moment and began pursuing the alternative field with a vengeance. Based on this new knowledge Dr. Minkoff and his wife set up a small clinic in 1997 to help some friends with their medical problems. What began as an experiment blossomed into Lifeworks Wellness Center, one of the most successful clinics for complementary medicine in the United States. In the process, he gained expertise in Biological medicine, integrative oncology, heavy metal detoxification, anti-aging medicine, hormone replacement therapy, functional medicine, energy medicine, neural and prolotherapy, homeopathy, and optimum nutrition. He studied under the masters in each of these disciplines until he became an expert in his own right. Dr. Minkoff is one of the most in-demand speakers in the field and wrote an Amazon best-selling book called The Search For The Perfect Protein. The demand for the products and protocols he discovered became a catalyst for founding BodyHealth.Com, a nutrition company that now manufactures and distributes cutting-edge nutritional solutions for the many health problems of today. Dr. Minkoff writes two free online newsletters, “The Optimum Health Report” and ”The BodyHealth Fitness Newsletter”, to help others learn about optimum health and fitness. Dr. Minkoff is an avid athlete himself and has completed 43 Ironman Triathlons. To keep his fitness maximal, he lives the lifestyle he teaches to others and tries to set an example for others, so they can enjoy a life free of pain and full of energy.
