Ozone Therapy

Ozone Therapy, the Anti-Aging Swiss Army Knife

Ozone therapy the anti aging swiss army knife

“Ozone therapy” is the general term used to refer to an increasingly wide range of beneficial protocols involving the use of ozone, which can be used to treat almost any condition from major to minor.

Using ozone therapy for anti-aging is becoming increasingly popular among practitioners and patients alike, because of the variety of available methods of delivery, which get to the root cause of different conditions.

As we age, we become increasingly prone to conditions such as high blood pressure, dizziness, rheumatic disease, low immune response and cancer. All of these diseases have a direct relationship to diminishing oxygen supply, so it follows that by adding oxygen to the body via ozone therapy, many of these diseases can be prevented or successfully treated.

Ozone therapy has also been identified as playing a role in the anti-aging process as it can deliver a welcome energy boost, a feeling of rejuvenation and an end to nagging conditions associated with the aging process.

How Ozone Reacts in the Body

Oxygen has two atoms (O2) and when it is passed through an electric coil it splits into three atoms and is known as ozone, or O3. When ozone is delivered into the body this third atom identifies and attaches to bacteria, viruses, mold and more and oxides or destroys them. Having completed its task, it then reverts to oxygen and benefits the body with added oxygenation.

Ozone reacts in the body by literally giving the immune system the “food” it needs to function properly. This helps the body to heal by:

  • reducing the clogging of blood cells
  • detoxifying the liver
  • decreasing uric acid in the body
  • improving circulation and oxygen supply
  • decreasing fat (cholesterol and triglycerides)
  • killing viruses, bacteria and fungus
  • improving the activity of the white blood cells
  • improving the metabolism of cells
  • slowing down the aging process

Methods of applying Ozone Therapy

Just like a Swiss army knife, ozone has multiple uses because there are a number of ways to administer the therapy, which in turn makes it successful in treating so many conditions. The method of application will be selected by the practitioner, depending on whether the ozone is needed to treat a single area such as a tumor, or something more generalized such as a virus.

Different methods of applying ozone therapy include:

Major Autohemotherapy involves drawing a quantity of the patient’s blood into an IV bag where it is infused with ozone and returned to the patient’s body. This is very effective in anti-aging medicine, for general revitalization, in treating viruses and chronic infection and generally boosting the immune system.

Topical Ozone involves “bagging” the area to be treated, such as a hand, foot, leg etc. The limb in encased in a sealed bag which has a tube running into it. The tube delivers the ozone to the body part directly and this method of deliver is very effective in treating ulcers, sores, open wounds, shingles (herpes) and infected areas etc.

Rectal or Bladder Ozone is delivered into the rectum or into the bladder through a lubricated tube and is painless. The ozone is absorbed by the intestinal or bladder membranes and does not build up or become uncomfortable. Good for treating inflammatory conditions of the intestinal tract or bladder infections.

Prolozone is very popular among patients with joint or muscle pain. The ozone is carefully injected into inflamed and painful joints (arthritis, recurrent arthrosis, general pathological stiffness) or sore or damaged muscles.

Hocatt is an ozone steam sauna which the patient sits in with their head exposed to the air. The ozone is passes into the sauna cabinet and is absorbed through the skin. This increases energy and circulation and can help relieve many chronic health problems.
