COMMON HEALTH CONDITIONS WE TREAT
Liver Cancer Treatment at LifeWorks

On 11/15/2023 I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and liver cancer.
I started Epclusa treatment for the Hepatitis right away and was scheduled for laparoscopic resection surgery at Advent Health in Tampa for 12/20/23. There were four tumors and no evidence of metastasizing. The surgery was successful and three months later I was still tumor free.
Six months later it was determined that I had three new tumors, and a second surgery was scheduled for June 2024. By this time, I had completed five months of Hepatitis treatment and was diagnosed in May 2024 as Hepatitis free. The second surgery was also successful for a total of seven tumors removed in the two surgeries. The surgeon told me that more surgery was not an option if I developed any more tumors because it could possibly do more harm than good. He referred me to oncology.
My experience at Advent Health was good. I would recommend that hospital if one has to go to a hospital. They did all they could for me there.
I was not interested in traditional chemotherapy or radiation. I had heard of low-dose chemotherapy but knew very little about it. We were exploring our options when a friend recommended that we contact Lifeworks. We scheduled a consultation with Dr. Minkoff and decided to enter the Lifeworks cancer treatment program in late July 2024.
Yes, the program is challenging especially the first few weeks. However, in my experience the program is so well presented, and the staff is so knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful I was able to start making progress right away. It does take some effort!
My progress fluctuated a fair amount initially. In the fourth week my results started stabilizing and at this point I am noticing lasting positive results. Nothing has gotten worse for me.
Yesterday, 9/04/2024, I experienced my first of ten IPT treatments. Again, impressed with the knowledge and ability of the practitioners running that part of the program. The process went well, and I drove home and had a good night’s sleep.
Thank-you Lifeworks for making this work so well. I appreciate all you have done for me and the many other patients I have been able to meet while in this program. I will submit a follow-up to this as I get closer to the end of the program.

Follow Up Testimonial
I have now nearly completed the twelve-week program for treatment of liver cancer. I have one remaining IPT after this week. I am experiencing significant overall improvement in all areas listed on the daily Questionnaire with nothing having become worse.
I have one more dental procedure to complete as well as a chelation program that is subsequent to the twelve-week cancer treatment program. Also, a follow-up scan to determine the status of my liver. I will also be on a continued maintenance program including ketogenic diet and AIC-SG supplementation.
In conclusion of my success story, I want to say a big thank-you to Dr. Minkoff and the staff at Lifeworks. My experience with everyone at Lifeworks has been professional, effective, helpful and encouraging. A truly good experience. Thank-you to all of you.
Sincerely,
David
