Stage 4 Lung Cancer

I came into this organization feeling really good and was floored with my stage four lung cancer diagnoses.

My overall impression from the start compared to other very highly regarded organizations like Bay Care and Moffitt was that the patients told the major story.

LifeWorks exemplifies living. The patients are upbeat, positive and a joy to behold.

Bay Care and Moffitt, as good as they are from a purely reputation standpoint, are filled with people who, for the most part, exemplify dying. The patients appear to be on more of a downhill trajectory and their attitudes reflect this.

This perspective may be too harsh and is a reflection of my overall attitude.

I want to build up my body while I seek assistance attacking my invader. I do not want to in any way destroy my body while I destroy the cancer.

LifeWork’s patient’s, it appears to me, have this similar, hopeful approach and it is why I mention they are a joy to behold. Life Works builds immune systems to allow the body to ward off the attacks.

I believe it is that simple and makes a world of difference while we inhabit these miraculous bodies the Good Lord has given us to care for while on earth. Praise God for organizations that build us up without tearing us down.
