Video: Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer Success Story

My name is Farah Tanis and I found Life Works Wellness Center by a miracle. I woke up at 3:00 in the morning and I prayed for this. I prayed for an integrative oncologist.

I wanted to run away and I did. I ran away from where I was receiving services. I hadn’t gotten any chemo. I hadn’t gotten any of the treatments yet, but I knew that that wasn’t the right place for me.

LifeWorks upon looking at what it provided, it had everything that I needed. I knew that there was something more than just the basics and the standard of care. And this place is doing God’s work. That’s what I believe. I’m going to say right off the bat, I was healed here.

I was healed here. I came here with bilateral cancer in my breasts. I have triple negative breast cancer, which is the most difficult to treat. The prognosis is not great for many of us.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had the resources and the wherewithal and my faith to come here to get treatment.

I had a a lump in my left breast. I had a bigger lump in my right breast. I had several lymph nodes impacted. But in addition to that, I also had ringing in my ears. I had plantar fasciitis, pain in my knees, pain in my back, bloating. My belly was constantly bloated. I had digestive issues. Sometimes I would eat things and I, it would, it wouldn’t sit well with me. It had gave me bowel, terrible forms of bowel movements.

So, I’m saying all this to say that although I came here for cancer, I was healed of all these other ailments and all these other diseases.

So, I now walk without pain. I now am able to have bowel movements in the way that it’s, that you’re supposed to. My gut health has improved. The ringing in my ears that I thought was normal is gone.

Not to mention my first PET scan which demonstrated so many of the things that we knew about the breast cancer in both my breasts. The recent PET scan on July 3rd, just two or three weeks ago, came back with the tumor gone from my left breast, just disappeared, just healed with the lymph nodes gone, with the tumor, the bigger tumor that was in my right breast shrunken to about an inch.

And so now I’m back to continue to work with the team here at LifeWorks to disappear, to dissolve that tumor because I believe it can be dissolved.

This is a place of healing. I was healed here before.

Even emotionally I had to pay attention to my emotional health. When I came here to hyperthermia, one of the wisdoms, one of the advice and just wisdom really that was offered to me was also work through your emotional state. Whatever it is that you need to let go of, let go of it. That was the best advice that I was able to receive to be able to withstand hyperthermia.

I read Louise Haye’s book, You Can Heal Your Life. I started meditating. I started praying even more and even harder.

And hyperthermia is tough. But I was able to withstand it because of the people in hyperthermia. I would say out of everything, it’s one of the toughest parts that I had to do here.

But the sweetness, the care, the dignity with which they treated me in hyperthermia just made everything so much better. It made it more than just tolerable. I sometimes even looked forward to it. I came in, we were laughing, I was ready. They were accepting of me.

This whole team from the care team over at IVs to of course Dr. Iyer Van Luven who is tremendous who possesses incredible wisdom. She is a medicine woman in the healing team. Every single one from the front desk here welcomes you. There is a good morning. There is positive attitude. People, even though we’re going through what we’re going through, we are able to come in here and get this positive vibe and positive energy, which is incredibly important in any healing process.

And so, this is me. I am healing. My faith is deep. I am respected. I’m being treated with dignity.

I could have never found this anywhere else as far as the standard treatment is concerned. Dr. Minkoff, thank you for creating this.

This is God’s work. It was pre-ordained. It is a blessing that it was created. And thank you for continuing to bless so many of us who come in here sick and leave healed.

The healing continues. It’s lifelong. And I look forward to this journey.
