Lyme Awareness Month: Optimum Health Report #403

Tick on a leaf indicating national lyme disease awareness month

Greetings all!

If you are thinking you are old in body but not in mind and you would like to change that, we can help.

Jim was one of those people. The body said 80 years, and the calendar said 80 years, but the mind was thinking would it be possible that I could feel younger? And if I felt younger would that mean I would BE younger?

When he asked me that at his first patient visit, I told him “yes, and it wouldn’t take that long.”

Well here is what he just wrote in…

“I am in my fourth week of treatment for Lyme Disease. Frankly I am amazed how the treatments have improved my condition in such a short period of time. The majority of my treatments involve HBOT 3 times a week, HOCATT 2-3 times per week, MAS 3 times per week and IV therapy 3 times per week. I now know the personnel and the procedures quite well and they go very smoothly.

The personnel are caring, jovial and considerate. I’m old and they are very tolerant of us old folks. However, I have nicknamed several of them (with their permission) so I can remember them better through word association. Long gone are the Jim’s, John’s and Tom, Dick and Harry. ‘A great bunch of kids.’ And you know what, I am feeling much younger! Dr Minkoff wasn’t fibbing!”

Would you like that? If so, give us a call and we can arrange it. Bodies need care and we have the know-how. Call today (727) 466-6789.

Have a great week.

Dr. David I Minkoff, MD

“I was bitten by a tick in 2003.  I was misdiagnosed – so went untreated for at least two months.  My symptoms were serious, radiating pain, Bell’s Palsy, fatigue and fevers.  After antibiotics, I had several recurrences over the years.  The last severe recurrence was in the summer of 2019.

I came to LifeWorks Wellness Center after Lee Health (Lee County) told me they had no protocol for chronic Lyme.  I started with the recommended supplements, homeopathics, immune aids and anti malarials.  I began to feel better.  I also went on a modified paleo diet – tried to cut out sugar and gluten.  I felt much better!  I started the IV and HOCATT, NanoVi and AET treatment in February and can actually say I feel great.  I played with my grandson this weekend and ran around more than I have done in 5 years!  I also have joy.  When I was very sick in September I actually didn’t care if I lived.  My sense of humor is coming back.  I am learning that each little thing we do in our diet and for ourselves and our family makes a difference in our overall health.

Thank you!”

Rebecca

We’re living in a toxic environment. What can we do about it?

“We are in an environment which is very toxic.  We run a panel on all our patients that has 24 environmental toxins in it and everybody flunks the test.  Glyphosate which is RoundUp, plastic residues, gasoline residues, flame retardant residues.  These things are everywhere and they are in our food, in our water, in our hair and we are all full of it.”

About Dr. David Minkoff, Medical Director

Dr. David Minkoff graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1974 and was elected to the “Phi Beta Kappa” of medical schools, the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Fraternity for very high academic achievement. He then completed both a Pediatric Residency and a Fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of California at San Diego. He worked at the University of California and Children’s Hospitals in San Diego as an attending physician in infectious disease while conducting original research on Ribaviron, a broad spectrum anti-viral agent to fight disease. He also co-directed a neo-natal intensive care unit and worked in emergency medicine. In 1992, Dr. Minkoff’s wife Sue, a Registered Nurse, became interested in nutrition and health and began to go to lectures from some of the experts in the field. At the time, Dr. Minkoff was pretty fixed in his view of traditional medicine and it took a lot of convincing to get him to come to one of these lectures. After hearing Dr. Jeffrey Bland speak, Dr. Minkoff had a eureka moment and began pursuing the alternative field with a vengeance. Based on this new knowledge Dr. Minkoff and his wife set up a small clinic in 1997 to help some friends with their medical problems. What began as an experiment blossomed into Lifeworks Wellness Center, one of the most successful clinics for complementary medicine in the United States. In the process, he gained expertise in Biological medicine, integrative oncology, heavy metal detoxification, anti-aging medicine, hormone replacement therapy, functional medicine, energy medicine, neural and prolotherapy, homeopathy, and optimum nutrition. He studied under the masters in each of these disciplines until he became an expert in his own right. Dr. Minkoff is one of the most in-demand speakers in the field and wrote an Amazon best-selling book called The Search For The Perfect Protein. The demand for the products and protocols he discovered became a catalyst for founding BodyHealth.Com, a nutrition company that now manufactures and distributes cutting-edge nutritional solutions for the many health problems of today. Dr. Minkoff writes two free online newsletters, “The Optimum Health Report” and ”The BodyHealth Fitness Newsletter”, to help others learn about optimum health and fitness. Dr. Minkoff is an avid athlete himself and has completed 43 Ironman Triathlons. To keep his fitness maximal, he lives the lifestyle he teaches to others and tries to set an example for others, so they can enjoy a life free of pain and full of energy.
