People in the United States are already aware of the dangers of getting bitten by a tick that carries Lyme disease. Recently a new tick danger arrived on the scene. A native of Eastern Asia, the bush tick or longhorn tick has recently been found on livestock in New Jersey. Although attempts were made to eradicate the tick last fall, it appears to have survived the winter in New Jersey and is a threat to livestock and humans alike.
We all see the increase in mass shootings occurring. Yes, the state of humanity is on the decline. Those of us who are good human beings need to be continually and actively working on ourselves and our state of being to overcome the downward trend that is occurring. Granted, it takes a lot to thrive in this world today! Personally, I make time to access deeper parts of myself and bring these places forth so I can live a life that I want to live, not being dictated or demanded by others.
For those of you who have not heard of Monsanto, it is the newest dirty word in some circles we travel in.
Monsanto’s website states, “Monsanto is an agricultural company, helping farmers large and small grow food more sustainably.”
However, there is a different belief about Monsanto out there. They are accused of being a power hungry, money thirsty company and are only interested in money. One more corporation not only bringing down American small businesses, but they are bringing down American’s health as well.
Monsanto is known for the worst 3 letter word known to man! GMO, otherwise known as Genetically Modified Organisms.
Recently, I had a patient come in and tell me that she should be a mattress specialist with all of the trouble she has had with her mattress. With all of the awareness around cell phone radiation, GMOs, Glyphosates etc., I have to say, I have never thought of a mattress before until she made this comment. So, I decided to do a little looking myself and this is a synopsis of what I found.
Many of us spend so much time with good food, good environment, good thoughts but we overlook the place where we spend 1/3 of our lives … our beds!
