Beware of “Natural” Doctors who Peddle Drugs
Dear Readers,
Last week I got a patient from a so called Alternative Medicine Doctor. She came to him from out of town and was getting daily IVs, five days a week for the last three months. When she got to him, she was walking, had fatigue, mentally was alert, and had just a bit of some tremors. She was only 28 years old. Now three months later she came to me for a second opinion in a wheel chair. She was so tremulous that she was shaking all of her limbs and head to the point where she could not walk. She could only with difficulty even stay on the examining table.
I asked the family what happened. They said she started to react to the treatments and when she reacted the doctor kept them going and started to add hard core pharmaceutical drugs to diminish the symptoms. What was she taking? They put 12 different bottles on the desk in front of me!
Major psych drugs including Risperdol, Ativan, Ritalin, Prozac, Dalmane, Dilaudid, Gabapentin, and three antibiotics and more.
What the hell? Natural Medicine? Beware of “natural” doctors who peddle drugs. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They will hurt you. They are pretenders.
Good medicine is gentle. Healing is not a violent process. Herx reactions mean too much is being done or it is going too fast. Unfortunately, this patient was now so damaged from what was done to her, that only the lightest of treatments would get her back. And that would take a long time. All of the drugs would have to be weaned off. She would need rest and good food and lots of loving real care.
Not all doctors are good. Only some know what to do when the patient is very sick.
You can trust us with your loved ones. We are the good guys. We know what to do.
Have a great week.
Dr. David I Minkoff, M.D.
My LifeWorks Success Story
“I would like to thank the staff that works at the front desk for cheerfully greeting me every day that I came for treatment! Your smiles, whether checking in or checking out, are appreciated!
LifeWorks staff seem like a “family” and each person working there welcomes us warmly into “their home” at LifeWorks! I also appreciated the efficiency that the office was run. So many times in other doctor’s offices, you can wait for very long periods of time before being taken.
Thank you for scheduling me efficiently! And for your helpfulness! You are all the best! Will miss you!”

What is Heavy Metal Toxicity?
Heavy metal toxicity is a term used to describe the condition a person is suffering from when it is determined they have high levels of heavy metals in their body – they could also be described as being “heavy metal toxic”.
Heavy metal toxicity is caused when the build-up of heavy metals such as aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury disrupt the normal biochemical process in the body. The heavy metals may come from exposure to multiple sources including cookware, fish, soda cans, freeway dust, cosmetics, vaccines and many, many more.
In particular, heavy metal toxicity can contribute to degenerative diseases, but other conditions can be linked to heavy metal toxicity including chronic fatigue, memory loss, hypothyroidism, insomnia, unexplained tremors, depression, joint pain and chronic headaches.
Heavy metal toxicity can be determined by a urine analysis, which shows the levels of heavy metals in the body. If metal levels are found to be high, chelation therapy is a safe, FDA approved treatment of heavy metal toxicity. Ridding the body of heavy metals is an important step in relieving debilitating symptoms of heavy metal toxicity and helping to improve overall health.
What are the Symptoms of Heavy Metal Toxicity
Symptoms of heavy metal toxicity are very varied and unless a practitioner is really informed about the threat to health which heavy metals pose, heavy metal toxicity may be overlooked as the root cause of the condition. Lack of energy, poor circulation, weight-gain, high blood pressure and unexplained aches and pains are some of the symptoms of heavy metal toxicity. Other symptoms of heavy metal toxicity include:
- Allergies
- Cold hands and feet
- Digestive problems
- Frequent colds and flus
- Loss of memory
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Mood swings
- Night sweats
- Parasites
- Skin problems
- Sore or receding gums
