The Real Reason for Mass Shootings… Psych Meds

Pills which could help reduce the quantity of toxins in the body

We all see the increase in mass shootings occurring. Yes, the state of humanity is on the decline. Those of us who are good human beings need to be continually and actively working on ourselves and our state of being to overcome the downward trend that is occurring. Granted, it takes a lot to thrive in this world today! Personally, I make time to access deeper parts of myself and bring these places forth so I can live a life that I want to live, not being dictated or demanded by others.

Origin and Etymology of “psych-”
“Greek, from psychē breath, principle of life, life, soul, from to breathe; akin to Sanskrit babhasti he blows”

Origin and Etymology of “-iatry”
French -iatrie, from New Latin -iatria, from Greek iatreia art of healing, from iatros healer, from iasthai to heal In my observation, psychiatrists are the farthest thing from what their title suggests. Somewhere along the way, things got a little confused and they are just stuck in the midst of it all. So, when little Bobby comes to talk about his problems, instead of looking at the soul issues that he has come forth with, or incorporating an art of healing, he takes out his handy little script pad and writes a prescription for a psych med.

In the early 1990’s, the federal court started noticing a link between an increase in violence and psychiatric medications. The following was incorporated in inserts for antidepressants:

All patients being treated with antidepressants for any indication should be monitored appropriately and observed closely for clinical worsening, suicidality, and unusual changes in behavior, especially during the initial few months of a course of drug therapy, or at times of dose changes, either increases or decreases. The following symptoms, anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia (psychomotor restlessness), hypomania and mania, have been reported in adult and pediatric patients being treated with antidepressants for major depressive disorder as well as for other indications, both psychiatric and nonpsychiatric. (Celexa 2017, p. 8, bold added)

The FDA further confirmed that antidepressants can cause violence in the FDA-approved Medication Guide for antidepressants. By law, Medication Guides must be based on science and on the drug’s Full Prescribing Information. These several-page guides are intended to be shared and discussed by the doctor with patients and their families.
The FDA Medication Guide for antidepressants warns clinicians, patients and families to be on the alert for the following:

  • Acting on dangerous impulses
  • Acting aggressive or violent
  • Feeling agitated, restless, angry or irritable
  • Other unusual changes in behavior or mood (Celexa 2017, p. 33)

Essentially, the same is true for drugs used in treating ADHD!
In thinking of Nicholas Cruz, the day after his 18th birthday, an investigator was sent out to his house to evaluate him. According to the NY Times, he was posting on Snapchat wanting to hurt himself and wanting to know where to buy a gun. They were evaluating for possible Baker Act Detainment and if this had been done, he would never have had the ability to buy a gun.
What was found, was that he did plan to buy a gun but was not sure what he was going to do with it. However, knowing that he planned on buying a gun, they determined him low risk and closed the case.

If he had been given more careful attention and handling, carefully wean him off any drugs and provide good social development; things potentially would have gone a different way for him as well as the victims and their families.
Psychiatric drugs not only create an illusion that the patient is being handled and is therefore considered, “low risk”, but when the patient shows an increase in violence or agitation, the psychiatric medications are often increased. There seems to be a blatant numbness within the medical community on what occurs, the impact of psych meds and its effects on an individual.
I am writing this excerpt to urge patients to consider alternatives when dealing with psycho-social issues.

Here, at LifeWorks, as many of you have heard or know, the gut is where a vast majority of health issues originate from. If one were merely to research the information and find all of the data available validating the Gut-Brain connection.
Also, we have a way of testing and balancing out the Neurotransmitters in the body. The Neurotransmitters, and its metabolites are the signaling molecules that help a person stay balanced.
