Bryan Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Johnson is a highly respected physician with nearly 3 decades of experience spanning family medicine, palliative care, and integrative medicine. He earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at East Tennessee State University in Bristol.

He spent the first twelve years of his career in private practice in Hiawassee, Georgia, where he was a founding member of a three-physician group delivering comprehensive care across the clinic, hospital, and nursing home settings. Dr. Johnson is triple board certified in Family Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Integrative Medicine—an uncommon combination that reflects both depth and range.

For eight years, he served as Medical Director for Serious Illness Care at Erlanger Health System, where he practiced integrative palliative care for the most critically ill patients. From 2014 to 2024, he was an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Chattanooga, mentoring future physicians and championing thoughtful, patient-centered care.

Dr. Johnson’s path into integrative medicine was driven by a simple but powerful motivation: to give his patients the most effective, evidence-based options possible. Through extensive research and training, he discovered that many natural supplements produce similar benefits to prescription drugs with fewer unwanted effects. His commitment has always been clear: to do what has been shown to provide the most help with the least harm.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Johnson values time outdoors with his wife and their two sons.
