Dr. Griselle Figueredo is board-certified in family medicine and graduated from the Central University of Venezuela, Caracas in 1988. In 1990, she moved to Memphis, TN, USA where she did Neuroscience research for 5 years at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. In 1999, she completed the Family Medicine Residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
Dr. Figueredo worked as a primary care physician for the Regional Hospital Memphis, TN for several years. In 2008, she opened her own primary care office in Memphis, TN to provide good preventive care to the Hispanic population in that area.
In 2012, Dr. Figueredo’s husband, Salvador, decided to choose the functional/natural medicine route to take care of his cancer. Even though Dr. Figueredo was pretty fixed in her view of traditional medicine, she decided to support her husband and learn about functional medicine. In 2016, she finished her fellowship in antiaging and functional medicine by the American Academy of Antiaging. She also attended several courses in ozonotherapy, intravenous vitamin C and other vitamins and minerals, among others.
In 2017, Dr. Figueredo opened a functional medicine office in Memphis, TN with the purpose to change the face of healthcare by offering personalized healthcare, by spending more time with patients, looking for the underlying causes of disease instead of just putting a bandage on the problem and prescribing only medications.
In 2018, she moved to Tampa, FL to work as a medical director of primary care offices network, with the idea to change in some way the vision of the primary care physician.
In 2022, Dr. Figueredo (“Dr. G”) started work at LifeWorks Wellness Center, where she finally found her passion, helping others by providing the best care possible to her patients with the integrative medicine focus. She was received extensive training under Dr. David Minkoff on treating all types of different patients and she looks forward to helping you overcome whatever health challenge you may be facing.
