High Dose Ultra Violet Blood Irradiation

LifeWorks has recently added the H.D.U.V.B.I delivery system to its sought-after range of ozone therapies. H.D. stands for High Dose, U.V. for Ultraviolet and B.I. is Blood Irradiation.

This form of ozone therapy was developed in Russia many years before antibiotics existed and was seen as a breakthrough treatment. Blood was drawn from patients, it had an anticoagulant added and the blood was then exposed to ultraviolet light.  This would kill bacteria and viruses and when the blood was returned to the patient’s body, it would treat their infection.

Ozone therapies in general have made a very strong comeback in the past 20 years, since the healing qualities of medical ozone were re-discovered. Ozone has three main functions which make it so effective. Firstly, it purifies; killing infection, bacteria and viruses as it works. Secondly, it detoxifies environmental toxins so they can be safely removed from the body. Finally, ozone boosts the immune system so the body’s own defenses can work better.

LifeWorks has offered a comprehensive menu of ozone therapies for many years and is very happy to be able to now offer H.D.U.V.B.I to its patients.

H.D.U.V.B.I Versus 10 Pass

Always at the forefront of offering ozone therapy to their patients, LifeWorks is continually adding the latest innovative techniques to its menu of treatments. In early 2018, the clinic made 10 Pass available to patients, a delivery system which offered a higher concentration of ozone than Major Autohemotherapy. Although effective, this system has now been surpassed by H.D.U.V.B.I which is a simpler, faster procedure, giving the equivalent of 5 passes in one session.

How Does It Work?

The patient receiving H.D.U.V.B.I would have it administered in the IV room, sitting comfortably in a chair. An IV would be inserted and approximately 60ccs of blood will be removed and added to a bag containing saline. Then some ozone will be infused into the bag.

Most patients start off with a small amount of ozone at their first H.D.U.V.B.I treatment but in subsequent treatments they may have larger dosages administered, up to 10 times the regular dose. Being able to receive a substantial amount of ozone in one session is highly beneficial to the patient and means they may be able to heal much faster.
