Choices for a Healthy You – OHR 482

Your choices can affect your health.

In all the years of human history, has anything changed?

How about this from 600 BC:

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.” – Aesop

And so it is today.

Everything you do is an endorsement or vote for the thing you choose. It you buy fast food you endorsed it. If you get enough sleep, you endorsed it.

For every action this is a consequence.

There is no free lunch or free anything.

The myth is that politicians promise they can be trusted to deliver and will. Not so much.

Our citizenry ultimately gets what it votes for. You vote every time you buy something or act in doing something.

A good question to put this in a good perspective is to ask:

If I do this now, what will it bring me now?

If I do this now, what will it bring me in the future?

People thinking in the short term usually don’t get very far. I am hungry for a Big Mac and now it tastes good. But if I continue, what will it bring me later?

Long term thinking produces happy healthy people. Few today are on that path. Drugs are the short path and the powers that be who want a dumb and lame population sell them.

There is no happiness there.

Be in it for the long term.

Many of us will live past 100 years – but only if we live now for the long term.

Where is your thinking at?

Have a great week.
